Lottery proceeds are placed into the State Gaming Revenues Fund and then distributed to various other funds. The Kansas Legislature determines how Lottery revenues are distributed. Since the Kansas Lottery's start up in November 1987, through June 30, 2024, lottery ticket sales have produced more than $2.27 billion in revenues transferred to the State of Kansas.
